It only took me 2 hours to install it in my ford f250 super duty. The online video that Bulldog has on its web site is good and there wiring color code sheet for my truck was right. The only thing I had to do extra was go and buy two relays from napa to wire in for the door locks to work. This was all explained in there install instructions that are on their website. This system saved me alot of money compared to having a remote starter installed at a local shop.
I bought this as a gift for my daughter. I took it to a mechanic for installation, but found out I needed to order another piece before it could be installed. This was no problem, except there should be a warning that other pieces may be required before installation. The product works great, my daughter loves it.
This is my second 500 Deluxe so far. The product works well, the first one I have had in my other car for over 5 years, paid the same then as I did this time too. Both times I had it installed by a professional, did not dare mess with the transponder system. I must note though that trying to call Bulldog for help, is like pulling bulldog teeth. No one ever has called me back for a few small issues I have. If you are thinking of installing this yourself, be warned.
